One of the numerous hills in magical Istria lies Motovun, a town-monument surrounded by walls which provide a spectacular view of the River Mirna valley and Motovun forest. Motovun is a town with a rich treasury of cultural and historical monuments dating back to the 12th century. According to some scientists, Motovun is situated at the intersection of the Earth´s energy meridians, the so-called ˝Dragon´s furrow˝, reflecting with the surrounding landscape positive energy of life, and they can relax, calm down, give respite and spiritualize. Perhaps because of this Motovun is one of the most popular destinations in Istria! Through the narrow plateau we will come to another hill. Its crown is Oprtalj, one of the most picturesque towns in northern Istria, which will delight you with its charm. Here we will finish our walk in the beautiful surroundings of the local konoba (tavern), where we will taste local Istrian delicacies and fully enjoy all the beauty of Istria.
